In the removal of a 3,200-ton, 110-meter urban overpass, we used 12 sets of jack-up systems and a 64-axle self-propelled hydraulic modular trailer to streamline the operation.
Our method—dismantling the non-road section first, then removing the entire over-road span in one piece—greatly reduced construction time and safety risks.
KIET’s jack-up systems played a key role in accelerating the schedule. The entire overpass section above the road was removed safely in just 6 hours during nighttime work, allowing traffic to resume by morning.
